On Monday, five brave blokes from Fulton Hogan entered our Beauty Therapy clinic to wish their chest hair farewell.
Not able to opt for the usual head shave due to having a little bit less to lose on the top, the guys decided to have their chest hair waxed to raise money for Wig Wednesday, an initiative run by the Child Cancer Foundation (running throughout September).
Waxed by our Level 4 and 5 Beauty Therapy students, and overseen by Senior Beauty Therapist lecturer, Justine Brown, there were a few manly tears shed but the guys said it was nothing compared to what kids living with cancer face every day.
“I just can’t imagine how horrible it must be to watch your kid go through that,” said Caleb Green, Paving Department Manager at Fulton Hogan.
“We’re lying here because the funds raised by campaigns like Wig Wednesday make a massive difference to families going through it.”
If you’d like to donate to the Fulton Hogan Wig Wednesday campaign, please give what you can below. The fundraising will run through until the end of September.
